she begs forgiveness for her mistakes in the Home and prays that the Free may accept her apologies and this essay.
Let’s face it. None of us are perfect. stained by past mistakes, errors in judgment, failures, things we wish we would have done differently, or things we wish we would never have done at all. I stammer and respond by saying it had to do with the moral aspect of our failures on the one hand, and the pervasive failure of our collective moral condition on the other. I feel embarrassed by this explanation, feeling that it may be too esoteric for the circumstance. I still think that, but I include it here because it seems to me to be somewhat more appropriate, at least in my mind.
.Slaves that are seen as exquisite in beauty are ones that slave belly can be seen in everything that she does, she knows that she doesn’t have to boast about her talents that they can be seen by the Free by the way she handles herself. She sets out to do each and every task to the best of her ability always seeking perfection. She doesn’t see severing as beneath her, but has come to find fulfillment in her duties as a slave. She tries always to be pleasing even during times when she feels that her heart is heavy with other burdens but those burdens she keeps to herself and doesn’t bother the Free with pity matters that she can handle herself. She understands and accepts that she is a slave, no more than a animal, property to be owned and used in whatever way that her Owners wish. Even though she is owned she finds happiness and freedom that others may never know. She also knows that she cannot always be pleasing no matter how hard that she tires and that there are going to be times that she makes mistakes or there are going to be Free that may visit that will find her displeasing and that she may be punished. She will accept that punishment with grace. Trying to learn from the harsh lessons and accepting that she is slave. She carries herself always with exquisite beauty and grace and has found happiness in being a slave.
There are so many that would say that a slave is not allowed to have honor, that she doesn’t have the right to respect and part of that is true. But this girl would have to disagree with them. Maybe for a slave honor and respect would not carry the same meaning as a Free but everyone, almost everyone has honor, respect and integrity. To this girl those three things go hand in hand. You don’t have one without the other two. Honor, respect and integrity are three of the things that make up the person that we are. In order to understand a slaves’ honor, respect and integrity one would have to truly understand the meaning of being a slave. Even though we are slaves it is hard to completely let go of that part of us that makes us human, no slave can completely give that up. To look at a slaves honor we have to understand exactly what honor is… Honor is a good name or reputation. Slaves are deemed by their value. That value is determined by how a slave behaves, how pleasing she is, and how she carries herself. A slave always wants to bring Honor to the collar that she wears, whether it is a collar of a Home, Camp or city, or that of a Master and Mistress. The way that a slave brings honor to her Home, or Master and Mistress is based on how she carries herself. The act of honoring your collar means more than just behaving correctly. It also means being able to put aside your own inhibitions and give complete and absolute obedience to the Free of your home and or your Master or Mistress. Part of honor is a code of Integrity, dignity and pride. Again things that some might argue that a slave does not or is not allowed to have. But a slave just as any person has integrity which is a steadfast adherence to a strict moral or ethical code. The sate of being unimpaired, soundness. The quality of condition of being whole and undivided; completeness. For a slave there is a code of conduct for slaves. That is every slave of Gor. Obedience, for each and every slave that is something that we are trained to do from the very first day that we made the decision to be a Gorean slave and we felt that collar lock around our necks. A gorean slave has to be strong to push past her inhibitions and serve with her complete heart, mind soul and body. As most have seen a slave that is weak doesn’t make it for long, for they need to be pampered and protected and that just doesn’t happen. The dignity of a slave is in how she carries herself, her appearance always trying to be pleasing no matter what situation that she finds herself in. The manner in which she continues to push herself even when she finds something that is hard for her to do, A true slave never gives up, she keeps pushing and trying seeking total perfection. A slave has pride in all that she does, it’s in her slaves heart. To this girl all these things make up a slaves honor. If a slave is true to herself then she will find that she will always bring honor to her Master or Mistress and to that of her home, camp and city. A slave has respect for she has to respect herself as a person. Respect is the state of being regarded with honor or esteem, willingness to show consideration or appreciation. Everyone including slaves have to respect themselves in order to show themselves in a position light, someone that doesn’t think well of themselves tends to let others only see a negative side of them. Everyone has to have respect for themselves in order to gain any amount of respect and yes even slaves can earn a small amount of respect. Respect may not be awarded to a slave however there is nothing saying she cannot earn a small amount of it. A slave will be judged on how well they treat others, their obedience to their Master, Mistress or the Free of their home, camp or city. Being obedient in following the orders, commands and wishes of their Master, Mistress or any Free of their home. Some may not want to admit it but if they see a slave that is willing to do all that is expected of her and even when it goes against what others think, and a slave has to push to obey for it is a task hard for her to do, she will find that she gains the respect of others. In being obedient, letting her slave heart shine though, and being all that slave can be will gain her a certain amount of respect. So this girls views a slave does have honor and respect and that is part of her slave heart and what makes her a slave
The definition of “Humility is described as a state of being humble, freedom from pride and arrogance, lowliness of mind; a modest estimate of one’s own worth, a sense of one’s own unworthiness thought imperfection and sinfulness, self-abasement, humbleness. For a slave humility being freedom from pride however a girl feels that slaves have pride in their servitude to the Free and the way that they carry themselves however they do not think that they are above the Free in anyway, and arrogance. A slave knows her place and does not pretend to act that she is better than the Free or knows more than they know. A slave girl does not lift herself up by putting others down whether they are just sisters in slavery. A slave should have a quiet and content spirit and display utter obedience. She should be modest and gracious, taking a quiet path, a gentle path, knowing that who she is will shine though in her actions rather than her having to say anything at all. A slave should be humble, her general demeanor will come from her being humble she will be at His feet obedient. Being humble is doing things that are hard for a slave, but doing them since they are bringing Him immense pleasure. Knowing that a slave is doing for Him, not for herself that she is quiet out of respect and honor, humbling herself in front of her Master. Humility when used without stripping away self-esteem, is a wonderful aspect of a slave, it adds value to her, Humility does not make her a doormat. Humility is being grounded, modest, gracious, deferent, and utterly obedient.
